The Salmon Planet – acrylic painting is an acrylic paint pour I’ve done on a rounded 3D canvas stretched on wood.
I have made it part of my Planet Collection; a collection of paintings I have made in different sizes that always remind me of planets.
It’s not just because they are on a round surface, but it’s just the way the paint behaved. It looks like a planet with an atmosphere to me.
All acrylic paintings on this site are made by me.

Acrylic Paint Pouring; what is it?
Paint pouring is the technique of mixing your acrylic paint with a medium to make a smooth mixture that feels similar to warm honey. The artist will then decide on a specific pouring technique to make abstract art. This can be done for example by something called a “dirty pour” where the paint mixtures are layered in a cup and the cup is then poured or flipped on the the canvas. The canvas is then tilted slowly to make sure the paint covers the canvas until the artist feels happy with it.
